Yu-Gi-Oh! Original Artwork Collection Revives Manga-Era Monsters With Modern Effects

Konami will release YU-GI-OH! ORIGINAL ARTWORK COLLECTION, a set built around the original manga's visual identity, with cards that blend nostalgic framing against modern competitive mechanics.
Reimagined Boss Monsters
Barrel Dragon the Machine Dragon arrives as a DARK Machine with multiple utility paths. Players may Normal Summon it without Tribute when their field is empty. Its Main Phase effect searches any DARK Machine except itself from deck to hand, while a Quick Effect from the graveyard Special Summons it back during the Battle Phase, then flips three coins to destroy up to that many fielded monsters on heads results.
Quick Effects and Equip Interactions
Several cards in the collection deploy Quick Effects during the Main Phase. One monster can target and negate an opponent's Effect Monster, equipping it as an Equip Spell that grants 2000 ATK. Another destroys an opposing monster and sends itself to the GY, with a conditional draw if an EARTH monster is present. A third negates an opponent's activated monster effect on the field, then gains battle and effect destruction protection for the turn when a WATER monster is present.
Graveyard and Search Utilities
The set includes recursive options tied to the graveyard. One card equips itself from GY to a monster that won a battle, then destroys the opponent's highest-ATK monster. Another sends a Warrior search to the End Phase when it hits the GY. One card adds any die-roll-dependent effect card from deck on resolution, with a hard once-per-turn activation limit on its own name.
