Pokémon TCG’s 30th Celebration Starts September 16 With a Staggered Product Line
Five-card foil boosters, 30 Pikachu illustrations and a Classic Collection sit at the center of an anniversary range arriving in waves through November.
The Pokémon TCG will begin its 30th Celebration expansion on September 16, 2026, with a product program that continues through October and November. The official showcase describes every expansion booster as containing five foil cards plus one foil Basic Energy card, with one of 30 distinct Pikachu illustrations included in each pack.
The booster configuration is unusually specific
The announcement gives collectors two concrete pack-level facts before launch. Each 30th Celebration booster contains five foil cards, and each also contains a foil Basic Energy. One of the five cards is drawn from a group of 30 Pikachu illustrations. The expansion also includes illustration rare cards and a Classic Collection built around cards from earlier eras, although the product page does not turn those descriptions into a complete public checklist.
That distinction matters when products are compared. A standard anniversary booster and a Classic Collection booster are not presented as the same pack. The Ultra-Premium Collection scheduled for November includes 29 regular 30th Celebration boosters and one Classic Collection booster containing three Classic Collection cards. Listing titles should preserve that difference instead of treating every pack bearing the anniversary name as equivalent.
The first wave arrives on September 16
Launch-day products include Tech Sticker Collections with either Alolan Exeggutor or Lucario, two-pack and Knock Out formats featuring Eevee, a Poster Collection with Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres promos, boxes built around Sylveon ex or Greninja ex, and both standard and Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes. The standard Elite Trainer Box contains nine expansion boosters and a Nidorina promo; the Pokémon Center version lists 11 boosters and two Nidorina promos, one carrying a Pokémon Center logo.
Later waves broaden the formats rather than replacing the launch range. Binder Collections, Booster Bundles and Mini Tins are dated October 2. All-foil Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks follow on October 30. Ditto Premium Collections, a Day & Night Ultra-Premium Collection and Mew or Mewtwo Figure Collections are dated November 6. Those dates are the publisher’s schedule and can still differ from inventory visibility at an individual seller.
A catalog challenge before it is a price story
Thirty Pikachu illustrations, multiple promo configurations and a distinct Classic Collection make identity work essential. The official showcase supports product and contents facts; it does not establish pull rates, print volume or future values. Until the complete English checklist and observed listings are available, the responsible conclusion is about structure: this is a multi-wave anniversary release with several clearly different paths for cards to enter collections.
