Author and editorial disclosure

TCGMarketWatch Research Desk

Independent, data-led card-market reporting with visible sources, objective publication gates and a public correction path.Editorial method last reviewed 1 August 2026

What the byline means

The Research Desk byline is used only for original TCGMarketWatch Market Briefs. An official publisher announcement is kept separately as a clearly labeled source record and is never presented as TCGMarketWatch authorship.

Every brief connects a cited official development to independently observed English Near Mint marketplace evidence. Timing is context, not proof that an announcement caused a price move.

Automation disclosure

An automated, deterministic editorial agent checks newly discovered official sources each hour. It can publish at most one brief per game per editorial week and cannot bypass the source-freshness, catalog-scope, price-coverage or active-supply gates.

The agent writes from structured facts and measured market fields. It does not copy the source article, invent completed sales, infer causality or turn missing history into a trend claim.

Required evidence

  • A current, allowlisted official English-language source with a concrete connection to a tracked set.
  • At least 20 connected catalog variants, at least 10 priced variants and at least 55% current price coverage.
  • Fresh CardTrader English Near Mint observations with active offers and a recorded observation timestamp.
  • Qualified daily history before any 24-hour, 7-day or 30-day movement is described.

Review and corrections

Each published page exposes its official citation, observation time, market scope and methodology version. Material corrections update the editorial modified date without rewriting the source record.

Readers can report an identity, price, attribution or interpretation issue through the public corrections and contact pages.
